Happy Summer! Check out the video below of our new up and coming stud dog "Lil Nicky" learning how to swim on an August day at Fall's Lake, NC!
Above is our boy Bobby clearing our pasture and pond of geese. Below is Tonka doing his first run in Flyball "single dog racing". He was adopted from us as an eight week old puppy and his new family is having a blast with him. They have done a wonderful job training Tonka and we are so happy for him. Tonka is from Princess and Shep.
Tonka is a multi talented boy! He is excelling in agility and as you can see by the video above he also can do flyball! Sheilah has done a wonderful job in bringing out the potential we saw in Tonka when he was just a little puppy. Tonka and Sheilah were meant for each other. Thank you Sheilah for giving Tonka such a great home!
Check out the video below of Bobby and Shep playing with a radio controlled boat in our pond. Aussies of all sizes love action and variety in their lives. They all seem to have a sense of fun and are up for doing just about anything for a good time.

Check out Bobby and Shep playing with a radio controlled boat ON 3/24/15. Aussies of all sizes crave exercise and mental stimulation. Ours might be small, but they are not couch potatoes! Keep in mind their exercise and training needs before adopting. Yes, they are cute, but they are still "real" dogs and need fulfillment to be the best companions. An opportunity to run unrestricted and blow off steam is much appreciated. Check out Bobby below playing fetch in our pasture. He is only 13 pounds but he can carry a full sized tennis ball.
Below the dogs are enjoying a romp in our pasture and pond on July 3, 2015.
Shep's Instinct Test.
We took Shep to a local Herding Dog Instructor and had him tested for herding instinct. He had never seen a sheep or a duck in his life. It took him awhile to figure out what was expected. But as soon as he warmed up to the idea he did a nice job for his first exposure to livestock. The sheep did not know he is diminutive in size and gave him the same respect they would give a full sized Aussie.
Shep's Introduction to Ducks.
Shep was curious and respectful of the ducks. He never offered to harm them in any way, true to his heritage as a herding dog. He works with his "eye' no yapping at his charges. Those piercing blue eyes get the message across.
Check out Bobby below. He loves training for Fly Ball.

Shep is a Natural for Agility.
With his "can do" attitude typical of herding breeds, Shep took to the tunnel like a champ. He eagerly takes jumps as well and is learning to chill on the pause table. He doesn't care what the "job" is, he just wants to please and have something constructive to do.
Obedience comes naturally.
Here Trixie demonstrates amazing self control while on a sit stay in a ring of chickens. The chickens also demonstrate amazing trust!
Our little Aussies had a blast 1/29/14 when we had a very rare Raleigh Snow! They may be small, but they are rough and tumble in their play and relish a chance to run and wrestle.
April 13, 2014 our little aussies appreciate a cool dip in our pond on an 85 degree day. Winter or summer, hot or cold, the theme around here is always the same....party time! Here Bobby and Dusty cool off while Shep stands guard.
"Yoshi" likes to put her face completely under water. She loves water as much as any lab!
"Karma's" expression says it all. Her smile could not be any wider. All of our little aussies love water. Our adult dogs live a life other dogs could only dream of. They spend their days romping on over 60 acres complete with a pond to swim in, or helping out around the farm with the ducks, chickens and horses. They all love to hike the unlimited game land trails behind the house. They are kept in top physical condition and their good health is passed right down to their puppies.
